The Producers

Christopher Parish

The Mastermind Behind It All (Co-Founder, VP and Owner)

Chris was born in Stockholm, Sweden, to an English father and Swedish mother. For the majority of his life, he has lived with his parents and older brother in a suburb of Stockholm, but for 2-3 years, he expressed his dual citizenship and lived in England, attending school while his parents worked. He is a lover playing football (what Americans stupidly call soccer) and would still play to this day but can only watch. Playing the sport has taken a backseat to his business studies at the university of Uppsala. He has also studied abroad at Purdue University, where he was thrown into college American culture.

  • Favorite “American” Sport: Basketball, but due to his 5’9 height, he is terrible at it.
  • Favorite food: Hands down pizza with pineapple (“sue me” – Chris).
  • Biggest Pet Peeve: People who have a tendency to get up on their high horse/loud chewers
  • Interesting fact: From the ages of 3-18, he was on growth hormones, which made a basketball career impossible for him very early.
  • Perfect first date idea: “If I ever were to take a girl on a first date (big if), I would want to go mini golfing because you wouldn’t need to keep a running conversation, but you can enjoy the company in between holes. Afterwards you obviously get ice cream. If it’s winter a good activity would be playing pool.”
  • Biggest fail:  “My biggest fail, which there are many, would be accidentally breaking two of my friends wrists in the same year. If you would ask Cody though it would be senior week.”
  • Tips for the youth:  listen to your parents advice because they’re usually trying to prevent you from making the same mistakes they did. Also, if you get an opportunity to go abroad for work, school or anything else, do it! You won’t regret it

Cody Denton

The Itellectual, Social Media Manager & Strategist (Co-Founder, Owner, President and Creator)

“Being an intellectual when you have a blog with me ain’t that difficult”

Christopher Parish

Cody was born in Gary, Indiana and was put into foster care almost immediately. Within six months, he found a small family full of love and American pride in Francesville, Indiana, and for most of his life, that is what he called home. Adopted into the family and living on a farm, Cody has 3 older brothers, an older sister and a total of 10 nieces and nephews. Once he graduated high school, he left the quaint town of 800 people and moved to West Lafayette to study at Purdue University (with approx 41,500 enrolled students). As if the culture shock wasn’t enough. Cody joined a fraternity where he me some of his best friends and made some very interesting memories. Thinking even bigger than Purdue, after graduation, he moved to a suburb of Indianapolis and now lives in Chicago, Illinois, working a desk job in the Loop.

  • Favorite “American” Sport: Football, hands down
  • Favorite food: A well cooked lasagna
  • Biggest Pet Peeve: People chewing with their mouths open/smacking lips
  • Interesting fact: He has helped deliver hundreds of baby pigs
  • Perfect first date idea: A walk on the lake shore trail followed by dinner/ice cream, or walking around Oak Park and looking at all the rich houses
  • Biggest fail: Once, after professing his love to the girl of his dreams and getting politely rejected (still to this day he doesn’t think of it as a rejection, but a timing issue), instead of texting the result to his best friend, he sugar coated the result and texted the paragraph to the girl.
  • Tips for the youth: Never settle, it only leaves you wanting something better.

Alex Miller

Partner: Ripe Apples

Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, Alex grew up loving life. He’s lived in Indianapolis for the majority of his life, other than when he would visit his father in Chicago and when he attended Purdue University. He has three little siblings and a few lovable dogs. In his youth, Alex was a swimmer, and he was pretty good. He and his team made it to the state competition where Alex fought well in a couple of races, but never individually won. He wanted to take his dream of being a professional swimmer to college and originally attended a small university in Kentucky. After a semester, he decided it wasn’t for him and ended up at his final destination: Purdue University. There he studied communication and joined the same fraternity as Cody and Grant. He made the most of his time there, creating lifelong friendships he will never forget. He was able to travel across the country during his time at Purdue, not only traveling with Cody and Grant, but he took his own trip to Japan and China! Now, he is a young professional living in Indianapolis.

Grant Wood

Here is another Indianapolis native! Grant Wood was born in Indiana and has lived quite the life! He is the middle child having an older and younger sister but doesn’t quite have the middle child syndrome. He grew up in Carmel, Indiana, and played football for most of his life and was able to be part of their state championship team. Grant ended up at Purdue, like the others, and studied Biology! He was very active in the community, as he was part of College Mentors for Kids! Grant served on the executive board of his fraternity with Cody and was able to study a semester abroad in Sweden (It’s all coming together now)! During his exchange, he was able to visit many other countries and he has stories from them all. He made a good friend named Steve in Sweden, and they are still close as ever.
